Ukrainian president venerated Mikhail Zhiznevski’s memory

On January 22 Petro Poroshenko laid flowers to the memorial sign dedicated to Mikhail Zhiznevski (Zhyzneuski) and a Ukrainian of Armenian origin Sergey Nigoyan.

The sign was erected in Hrushevsky Street in central Kyiv, where a year ago Euromaidan activists were the first victims of the confrontation with law enforcing agencies, BelaPAN informs.

Poroshenko stated that Ukrainians remember the heroes of the Heavenly Hundred (as the killed activists of Euromaidan are called) and all who defended Ukraine.

“Today the entire world is with Ukraine, they are proud of Ukraine, they see our unity. The world is for our maintaining unity of the nation, territorial integrity and sovereignty, and for us to demonstrate that both Sergey and Mikhail sacrificed their lives for a reason,” Poroshenko said.
