Siarhei Mikhalok applies for residence permit in Ukraine

The leader of BRUTTO band applied to the minister of culture of Ukraine.

Siarhei Mikhalok and his manager Anton Azizbekian seek help in obtaining a residence permit in Ukraine, UNIAN reports.

The musician explains that the support shown by his former band Lyapis Trubetskoy to the revolutionary events in Ukraine is taken negatively by the Belarusian and Russian authorities, who create obstacles for a normal creative process. He and his manager decided to preserve their Belarusian citizenship and obtain a residence permit in Ukraine.

According to Mikhalok, his band plans to have two tours in Ukraine in 2015 to promote the new album and music videos.

The Ukrainian minister of culture contacted interior minister Arsen Avakov asking him to grant Mikhalok and Azizbekian residence permits in Ukraine as soon as possible.
