Homel teachers are in search for spongers

In Homel insection commissions visit residents of social, small-family houses as well as residents of dormitories.

Their purpose is to some kind of "social passport" and check citizens' living conditions. In particular, on January 28 the commission visited a resident and his neighbors of a small-family house in Kosarava Street in Savetski district, BelaPAN writes.

"A whole group of people visited me. They demanded to open the door so that they saw my apartment. I did not let them in: on what ground? This apartment is privately owned, I am neither registered with police nor have children at social risk. This commission called the police what turned into a conflict. They visited my neighbor and threatened her for the mess in her apartment", 35-year old Dzmitry, the resident of the house, informs.

KZHREUP "Savetsae" explained that an inspection committee, composed of representatives of the Emergencies Ministry, house management, high school (as a rule a social worker), social service center works in the area, as well as in the city.

Inspection commissions, according to information of the utility company, visit dormitories, little-family houses, social apartments, as well as apartments which got to the sight of police, Emergencies ministry, schools (for example, families with children at social risk).

Inspection Commission identifies cases of poor sanitation, improper care for kids.

Besides, according to the staff of KZHREUP "Savetskae" this is the way to identify sponges. There made weekly reports on spongers identified.

The company has assured that the work of the commissions is held within the law, and tenants are obliged to provide access to apartments under the Housing Code and the contract of renting living accommodation.

Teachers of secondary schools are also called to identify spongers. They call parents and ask to give the information about their job or absence of it. Special attention is paid to parents who do not temporary work.
