Activist Of "European Belarus” Summoned By In Interior Ministry For "Conversation"

Today the activist of "European Belarus" Leanid Kulakou received a phone call, supposedly from the Interior Ministry, with a proposal to meet for a conversation.

Leanid Kulakou has reported about that to charter97.org.

According to the activist, an unidentified man phoned him today to the mobile phone at about 17:30, and saying to be "Siarhei Siarheevich from the Interior Ministry", offered to meet for a conversation today. At the same time the unknown did not explain the causes and purposes of such a "meeting". After Leanid Kulakou refused, the man suggested him to call back tomorrow and arrange a meeting on Wednesday.

Leanid Kulakou is known for his public activism, for which he has been subjected to administrative detention many times. This year during the "elections", he was an independent observer at the polling station number 55 in Minsk, and then he took part in the rally against electoral fraud.

Leanid thinks this call is connected with a complaint against incarceration conditions of the remand prison in Smalyavichy district, filed by him. He spent 7 days of administrative arrest in that remand prison for an unsanctioned picket.
