Belarus and Russia Will Create “Single Military Organisation”

Russia and Belarus plan to create a common military organisation for defence of the “union state”, and the joint arrangements plan has been adopted already.

It was stated by Sergei Shoigu, Russian Defence Minister, RBK informs.

“The plan of joint activities for 2016-2018 have been approved by us. It is aimed at formation of a military organization of the “union state,” establishing a reliable mechanism for its armed defence," Shoigu said.

As said by him, Belarusian and Russian Defence Ministries discussed joint guarding of the external borders and combat duty within the framework of the unified regional air defense system in Belarus, they also considered further work on the joint radio-electronic warfare system, RBK writes.

Sergei Shoigu singled out the question of improvement of the joint radio-electronic warfare system (REB). “The necessary regulatory framework for that has been made, and its functioning will ensure efficient use of the electronic warfare assets of our countries’ armed forces,” the minister stressed.
