A person with vision disabilities, whose detention in Uruchcha metro station caused public resentment on the web, stays in the psychoneurologic dispensary in Navinki.

Dzmitry Artsyomau is charged with resistance to law enforcers, the criminal case is being investigated. As said by the spokesperson of the Investigation Committee in Minsk, at the moment law enforcers are expecting the results of the psychiatric examination of the visually handicapped person. Only after that one could speak about the date of the court and a possible punishment, Euroradio informs.

We remind that on September 18 a visually challenged man, Dzmityr Artsyomau, was cruelly detained for insubordination to police. The man was handcuffed and dragged by the legs along the staircase, which was videoed by passers-by. According to law-enforcers, during the brawl Dzmitry bit one of the policemen’s finger and hit him by his left hand in the temple of the head. Minister of Internal Affairs Ihar Shunevich stated: “Police officers operated inside the law and did not overstep their authority. Their actions were assessed as meeting all norms and ruled of the situation.”

Later the Investigation Committee informed that the man had been previously convicted many times for hooliganism and crimes against property. And in the period from December 2013 to September 2015 he had won more than Br1.3 billion in gambling establishments.”
