Putin And Lukashenka To Meet In Moscow November 26

Lukashenka is going to pay an official visit to Russia on November 25-26.

The result of the meeting between Vladimir Putin and Aliaksandr Lukashenka, scheduled for this week, is expected to be signing of the international documents, BelaPAN informs referring to the press service of the Belarusian leader.

In Moscow Aliaksandr Lukashenka will meet with President of Russia Vladimir Putin at a restricted-attendance meeting followed by an expanded-participation meeting. A number of international documents will be signed afterwards.

While in Russia Lukashenka is expected to meet with Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko, and speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly Sergei Naryshkin.

Lukashenka will also lay a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin wall.

As previously reported, Lukashenka will pay his first official visit after the “presidential election” to Russia on the invitation of Vladimir Putin. The meeting is scheduled for November 26. Is also known that Lukashenka was invited to grand opening of the "Yeltsin Center", which will take place in Yekaterinburg on November 25

The upcoming visit was discussed at the meeting between Lukashenka and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia in Belarus Alexander Surikov on November 16. Lukashenka claimed to be ready for “serious discussion on Belarusian-Russian relations”.

In his turn aids to the Russian president Yuri Ushakov said at the end of last week that one of the issues of the meeting between Putin and Lukashenka will be establishment of a Russian airbase in Belarus
