Sevastopol's Occupational Authorities Stopped Heating City's Residential Buildings

Residential houses in occupied Sevastopol, Crimea are no longer heated by the central heating system.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by TASS citing the press service of the city's self-proclaimed authorities.

The press service also added that final decision on 24-hour heating of high-rise residential buildings would be made at the meeting of the emergency situations commission.

"Director of housing department of the government" of Sevastopol Oleh Kazurin said that the houses should be heated after the outside temperature falls under 8 degrees Celsius. "We have been heating the houses between midnight and 6 a.m. for the third day in a row now," he said.

According to Kazurin, the city is being served by 114 heating stations and 10 heating stations of the Ministry of Defense. Two of the heating stations are currently being repaired, while othersoperate 24/7.

He also stressed that there were no emergencies at the heating stations.

It was reported earlier that Sevastopol's heating stations were to operate 24/7.

On Nov. 20, power supplies from Ukraine to Russia-occupied Crimea were halted due to power pylons' damage in the Kherson region of Ukraine. Some 1.9 million peninsula residents were left without electricity in Crimea.
