Belarusians spend about $10 a day

Belarusians spend about $10 a day

It is more than in 2013, but we still can buy the same for this money.

Over the past year an income of every Belarusian was equal about Br4.592 million per month (or about Br153 thousand per day). This indicator differs from the average wage by two criteria. First, the calculation shall take into account not only working Belarusians, but in general all the country's inhabitants, including children and pensioners. And second, besides wages, other sources are also taken into account: for example, benefits, scholarships or even profit from the sale of vegetables from your own garden. By the way, wages make up only 63.8% of total Belarusians' income for the last year (it is amounted to Br522.1). Approximately, the fifth part of this sum (20.9%) is pensions, scholarships, benefits, et cetera. Another 10.4% Belarusians earned by making business, 4.9% is the property income and other, Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus writes.

By the way, in 2013 the average income of a Belarusian citizen per month amounted only to Br3 million 894 thousand, what is Br699 thousand less than in 2014. However, household real disposable money income compared with 2013 increased only by 0.1%. It means that with more money people are still able to buy the same.
