Polish volunteer: We must assist each other to Belarus and Ukraine join the EU

Tomasz Maciejczyk met volunteers from Belarus in the Donbass region.

"They (volunteers from Belarus) say they are fighting for freedom of Ukraine to Ukrainians later assist them to liberate their country, not through war, but political means", he said in his interview to Belsat TV channel.

In the Donbass where Tomasz Maciejczyk brought a charitable aid from the Polish fund "Open dialogue", he saw neither American tankmen nor Polish mercenaries who the Russian propaganda constantly talks about. "Now the Ukrainians do not have money to pay such mercenaries. If there was money, it would be possible to think about how to pay for the defence of their country. But Ukraine has its soldiers. Why should there be fighters from other countries. Ukrainians go to war without any money. They do not want money from the State, but want to defend their country", he said.

Tomasz Maciejczyk told about Kadyrovtsy (Kadyrov's followers) and people from Kazakhstan waging a war for money on the side of separatists.

"I want Ukraine to win this war. This war is against terrorism, Russian terrorism. I'm afraid if, for example, Belarus wants to transform from authoritarian post-Soviet country into the European state, it may also cause a war. We should assist each other to make Ukraine, Belarus and Poland coexist in Europe", the volunteer mentioned.
