Gomselmash workers forced to take leaves

The plant is in a critical state.

Charter97.org learnt it from reader Viktar Zholudz. According to him, workers of Gomselmash combine harvester manufacturer were ordered to take leaves on February 20, 23 and 27 with the payment of two-thirds of the salary rate. He reports about other problems at the plant.

“They cancel bonuses for engineers, technicians and workers of support services. Heating doesn't work in shops. The temperature now is +4˚C and 0˚C, though radiators are switched on,” he wrote.

Charter97.org contacted official representatives of the plant but they declined to comment on the situation.

Gomselmash's debt has reached 5.1 trillion rubles. There are reports about mass layoffs at the plant.
