Unknown Belarusian patriots drew the Chase coat of arms on walls in the centre of the Russian capital.
The website Belorusski Partizan received a photo of the Belarusian national symbol from a reader.
The photo was taken on March 24, ahead of the Freedom Day.
A rally on the occasion of the independence anniversary will be held in Minsk today. Participants will gather near Kastrychnik cinema (Academy of Science metro station) at 15:00.
