Former political prisoner Eduard Lobau detained in Minsk

Policemen detained Eduard Lobau, an activist, not far from Yakub Kolas Square metro station.

It was informed by witnesses of the detention, Viasna human rights centre writes.

Earslier another participant of the rally, Tsimur Sidaruk was detained. He refused to furl a white-red-white flag and was detained by policemen.

We remind that the rally dedicated to Freedom Day was held in Minsk on March 25.

The event with about 2,000 participants was held under national and European flags. Organisers refused to hold a meeting, urging the participants after the demonstration to mark the holiday in bars and restaurants.
