KGB looks for author of leaflets about abducted politicians

Brest resident Siarhei Sukhaverkhi was detained and questioned about the leaflets that appeared in the town of Pinsk.

The activist told charter97.org that he got detained near his home and then taken to a police station and questioned. He was detained in connection with the leaflets in Pinsk that depicted portraits of abducted opposition leaders. Policemen asked how he got the leaflets.

According to Siarhei Sukhaverkhi, it follows from police documents that the Pinsk department of the KGB was in charge of the case. The police officers confirmed it and said they were ordered to investigate the incident quickly.
