Strommashina worker on maternity leave: Our dinner at Women's Day will be bread and water

The plant delays the payment of child benefits for the third time.

A reader of charter97.org again complains about overdue child allowance.

“I am again waiting for the child benefit. It is the first week of the March. Many receive allowance for March, but I am still waiting for the February payment. The Women's Day is coming soon, but my daughter and I are likely to have only bread and water.

I have been calling the social protection fund for three days, but they didn't answer. I was trying hard. The plant answers: “We don't have money. We try to pay child benefits. Some already received them, but we don't know when others will have them.' It's very sad.

I am on maternity leave because my husband and I wanted a second baby. We had been waiting for a baby for three years. We are not the people who only want privileges from the state. I graduated from school with honours, I have a good job, but I would have thought twice if I had known I would be so dependent. I only wish it wouldn't be systematic. I am afraid to think what we will have after the elections,” the reader writes.

“Child benefits were paid yesterday, if I am not mistaken,” a representative of the accounting department at Strommashina said.

Charter97.org already wrote about overdue child benefits at Strommashina plant in Mahilou. Benefits were paid just after the article was published.
