India's President to visit Belarus soon

Indian President Pranab Mukherjee is expected to visit Belarus in the near future.

The statement was made at the meeting between the Indian head of state and Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei on 15 April, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The President of India praised the friendly relations with Belarus. “The parties took note of a huge bilateral potential in the trade and economic area, the absence of any disagreements in the international arena. The Indian head of state confirmed his intention to pay a visit to Belarus in the near future,” the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

On 14-15 April Vladimir Makei paid an official visit to India. The Belarusian delegation comprised the heads of OAO BelAZ, Minsk Tractor Works and the Belarusian Potash Company.
