Poroshenko: Oligarchs must be excluded from state power

Deoligarchization must be one of the main principles for local governance.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the president's press service, this was announced by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at a meeting with district state administrations heads.

The president called deoligarchization one of the main principles for the government. "There will be no oligarchs in Ukraine. All oligarchs must be excluded from state power and become representatives of big business, if they are competitive," Petro Poroshenko noted. Competitive ability also provides for another principle, as stated by the president, which is demonopolization, as well as red tape reduction and deregulation.

Moreover, efficient struggle against corruption must remain a priority as well. "Corruption in Ukraine has no state protection anymore. The Presidential Administration is determined to fight against corruption," he said.
