Minsk to host 2016 IIHF U18 World Championship Division I

The 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division I Group A will take place in Minsk in 2016.
The relevant decision was taken at the 2015 IIHF Annual Congress in Prague.
The congress considered the applications for hosting the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division I Group A from Belarus and France. France, however, decided to withdraw from the competition to host the world's sport forum saying they could not provide the conditions similar to those Belarus offered during the 2014 IIHF World Championship.
The 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division I Group A will take place at Minsk's Chizhovka Arena in April 2016.
