Trade Ministry tackles sports nutrition stores

The Ministry of Trade has carried out a number of inspections of on-line stores and warned that it is not allowed to sell sports food outside retail facilities.

Charter97.org website has been informed about that by the press-service of the ministry.

“The Ministry of Trade has carried out inspections of a number of online stores, which offer specialized supplements for sportsmen,” the report reads. “21 improvement notices have been issued based on the inspection results. According to them, violations of customers’ rights and rules of trade should be corrected. Some actions are taken in order to hold violators administratively liable.”

The Ministry of Trade reminded that in keeping with the rules of realization of goods, when retail trade according to samples is carried out, under the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of Belarus №31 issued on January 15, 2009, it is not permitted to sell specialized sports nutrition according to samples without (outside) a retail facility.
