Ales Bialiatski presents book in Warsaw

The human rights defender's book titled The Cold Wing of Motherland will be presented in the Belarusian House in Warsaw on May 28.

The book was prepared when Ales Bialiatski was in jail. It was published after the release of the human rights defender, the website of the Belarusian House in Warsaw informs.

The book The Cold Wing of Motherland includes autobiographical texts and memoirs about the author's underground civil activity in the Soviet times as well as notes about the cultural resistance in the 1980s with Bialiatski as one of the leaders.

The presentation will be a symbolic display of solidarity with political prisoners. A letter writing marathon “Send postcard to Belarus” will be organised during the presentation, inviting people to sign postcards for Belarusian political prisoners.

The presentation will be held at ul. Wiejska, 13/3 (the Belarusian House of Warsaw) at 18:00 on May 28.
