Defenseman of the Belarusian national ice hockey team Dmitry Korobov will continue his professional career with SKA Saint Petersburg, according to the official website of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

Last season Dmitry Korobov played for Atlant Moscow Region, appearing in 46 games and scoring 9 (1+8) points. At the 2015 IIHF World Championship the player earned 2 (1+1) points in eight games as part of the Belarusian national team.

After coming up through the ranks with his native Gomel and later HC Dinamo Minsk Dmitry Korobov was signed to a two-year entry-level deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning in August 2012. In the final year of his contract with the Lightning, Korobov was recalled from American Hockey League affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch, and made his NHL debut, featuring in 3 games in the 2013–14 season.

In summer 2014 Dmitry Korobov opted to return to the KHL as a free agent, signing a two-year contract with Atlant Moscow Region.

SKA Saint Petersburg that Dmitry Korobov has signed with won the 2014/2015 Gagarin Cup.

Dmitry Korobov is one out of 10 Belarusian players to have played in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Belarusian took part in five world championships (2009, 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2015).
