Kostitsyn brothers sign with KHL's Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod

Forward of the Belarusian national ice hockey team Andrei Kostitsyn has signed with the KHL's Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod after spending the previous season with HC Sochi.

“Forward Andrei Kostitsyn has signed to a two-year deal with HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the Kontinental Hockey League,” the official site of the Russian hockey club said. Andrei Kostitsyn played for the KHL's Traktor Chelyabinsk and HC Sochi from 2012 to 2015. The Belarusian scored 98 (42+56) points in 176 games. The 30-year-old forward also spent seven seasons in the NHL playing 447 games in the Montreal Canadians and the Nashville Predators and scoring a total of 245 (117+128) points.

His younger brother Sergei Kostitsyn has recently signed with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod as well. Last season the Belarusian spent in the KHL's Ak Bars scoring 30 (8+22) points. Sergei Kostitsyn played 393 games in the NHL's Montreal Canadians and Nashville Predators scoring a total of 191 (71+120) points. The player played 36 games for the Belarusian national team scoring 14 goals and picking up 19 assists. The 2015 IIHF World Championship in the Czech Republic was one of the most successful world sport forums for the two brothers.
