Social parasites to be deprived of burial allowances

Relatives of deceased persons can receive 6,574,900 rubles from the state funds.

Regulation of the Council of Ministers No.585 “On allowances and reimbursement of expenses on burial” that took force on July 12 defines the categories of people who can receive so called burial allowances. The document was published on the national legal portal on Friday, kp.by reports.

Unemployed persons who are not registered at employment centres and their children, as well as those who didn't pay contributions to the Social Protection Fund for 10 years, cannot receive the allowance.

In accordance with the document, burial can be partially funded from the state budget only for some categories of people. They include:

– Citizens included in the social insurance programme. They paid contributions to the budget, or someone did it for them;

– Citizens who paid mandatory contributions to the budget for at least 10 years;

– Pensioners who received pensions from the budget;

– Unemployed persons who were officially registered at the employment centre;

– Minor children of above mentioned categories of persons and students under 23 years old.

The burial allowance was 6,574,900 rubles in June.
