Lukashenka: Neither Belarus nor Zimbabwe have problems

Zimbabwe and Belarus have no obstacles for comprehensive cooperation.

Aliaksandr Lukashenka stated that at the meeting with a Zimbabwean Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa, BelTA reports.

"We have neither problems with your country nor obstacles for comprehensive cooperation. We are ready to do everything for your country, for South Africa", the Belarusian ruler said.

Lukashenka expressed the belief that the visit of Zimbabwean Vice President to Belarus would be symbolic.

"I am sure that it will be a new chapter in our relations", the dictator pointed out. He also expressed confidence that through the cooperation with Zimbabwe Belarus would develop ties with other countries of the region.

Zimbabwe is the country in southern Africa. The country has been recently experiencing an acute financial crisis. Failing land reform turned Zimbabwe from a food exporter into an importer. Accelerated inflation was one of the consequences. According to 2007 growth of prices exceeded more than 100 thousand per cent.

The Government was forced to print large notes. In summer of 2008 there was printed a Zimbabwean 100 billion dollar bank note. Finally the government has taken a US dollar. On June 15, 2015 a US dollar was traded at 250 trillion of Zimbabwean dollars.

Robert Mugabe has been the leader of Zimbabwe for 35 years already. Now he is the oldest head of the state in the world. He is 91. Next presidential elections are planned for 2018 and Mugabe intends to run them too.
