Official from Lida suspected of embezzlement

An official of the Lida district executive committee paid bonus payments to employees and embezzled a part of the money.

Charter97.org learnt it from the police department of the Hrodna region executive committee.

The economic crime department of the Hrodna region and the Lida police revealed that the official from the district executive committee abused power to embezzle money.

According to Valery Kalodka, deputy chief of the Lida police, the official had committed offences for several years. The woman paid her subordinates bonuses and established additional payments for good work. Employees returned a part of the money to the woman. The suspect had “earned” about 45 million rubles from July 2011 to December 2014.

A criminal case under part 3 of article 210 of the Criminal Code (embezzlement and official misconduct) was launched.
