Minsk resident detained for proposal to crown Lukashenka

Mikalai Lusta, an activist of Alternative civil group, was detained near the headquarters of the Central Election Commission in Minsk on July 24 for a one-man picket.

The activist was holding a poster reading “Why elect? Let’s crown him. No to elections”.

The picket lasted less than a minute, Alternative’s leader Aleh Korban said to BelaPAN.

Mikalai Lusta was detained by security guards of the Central Election Commission and taken into the building.
