SBU Chief: Separatism threats in five "hot spots" across Ukraine

There are five regions in Ukraine where Russia-instigated separatism may be spread.

Vasyl Grytsak, chief of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), said it in an interview with the Ukrainian TV Channel 5, the 112 channel reported.

There are five "hot spots" in Ukraine to pay attention to in the context of intensification of the separatist activity, orchestrated by Moscow. These are Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, said Hrytsak, according to 112 TV channel.

Explosive devices have been seized as a result of 15 searches conducted by the SBU officers in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions on July 5, according to Hrytsak.

"We are observing direct and indirect contacts of the perpetrators with both the organizers of these activities in those areas and their Russian masterminds," said the SBU chief.

Earlier, UNIAN reported that the the security service officials in Zhytomyr region had prevented another attempt of financing the terrorists via an international payment system.
