Losses of enterprises of Belarus over half a year exceeded 15 trillion

In January - June 2015 1,569 enterprises (or 19.8% of the total number) were loss-making.

The accrued net losses of loss-making enterprises for January - June 2015 was Br 15.6 trillion, which is by the factor of 2.3 more than in January – June 2014, AFN informs. For comparison, a year earlier, following the results of January – June 2014 there were 1119 loss-making enterprises, or 14.1% of the total number of organisations, the National statistics committee informs.

The average accrued net losses per one loss-making enterprise was Br 9.912 billion, which is by 64.5% more as compared to the last year.

As before, the maximum share of loss-making enterprises is in fish industry and fish-farming – 45.0%, in industry – 30.2%, in trade – 24.3%, in construction – 20.0%.

The littlest share of unprofitable enterprises was recorded in education – 4.1%, communications – 2.2%. There are no loss-making enterprises in such a sphere as “financial business”.

This statistics does not take into account banks, insurance organizations, state-financed organisations, micro-organisations and small organisations without departmental affiliation.
