NATO jets intercept Russian military aircraft near Latvia

NATO air jets have intercepted a Russian military aircraft above the Baltic Sea near Latvia border.
As reported by Censor.NET, this is announced by ZN.UA citing the National Armed Forces of Latvia message in Twitter.
"Air policing jets on Aug. 17 in international airspace above the Baltic Sea near Latvia border intercepted an aircraft identified Russian air forces Il-20," the message reads.

The air space of none Baltic country has been violated.
As reported, NATO has effected 250 intercepts of Russian aircraft over Europe during six months. This is the largest number in the same period since the end of the Cold War.
