Minsk city executive committee to buy gilt tableware at Br 5 billion

The public procurement website has posted a procurement notice about a china set at a cost of about Br 5 billion.

The ordering customer is the Capital construction management of Minsk city executive committee, the source of funding is the local budget.

The claimed amount for buying the tableware is Br 4,864,746,072, which is about $317,000 on June 15 (the moment when the notice was posted), now the amount has melted to $294,000.

Minsk city executive committee plans to buy one dinner set, which is to include a 3D image in gold.

Nasha Niva was unable to find out for whom this dinnerware is intended, as “the responsible executives” whose phone numbers were indicated on the website of the government procurement, said that they are “out of the picture.”

But one can suppose that this tableware is bought for another residence of Lukashenka, the Palace of Independence. At any rate, previously it was exactly the Capital construction management of Minsk city executive committee that bought expensive tableware for the new Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s residence in the Victors’ Avenue.

Earlier elite German china, Falken-Porzellan, a diner set at $258,000 and books at $72,000 were bought for it.
