Photo fact: Leaflets "Freedom to political prisoners" in Baranavichy

Baranavichy human rights activists held an action to inform about political prisoners in Belarus.

Leaflets with demand to release Mikalai Statkevich, Ihar Alinevich, Mikalai Dziadok, Jauhen Vaskovich, Artsem Prakapenka, Yury Rubtsou are pasted up in the city, HRC Viasna informs.

- Today the government not only denies legal expression of solidarity with political prisoners, but also recognition of fact of their existence. For 3 years already we have been denied to hold pickets in support of prisoners on August 4. Therefore, we've decided to inform city dwellers that Belarus is the country, where people may be put behind bars for political views. We'd like to remind our citizens about such political prisoner as Yury Rubtsou. Now he is in the remand prison No. 6 of Baranavichy, civil activict Mikalai Valynets says.
