Belarusians spent almost half of wages on food

As compared to Q1 2014, consumer expenditures per household have increased by Br 0.7 million.

It is established by the results of the selective survey of households concerning their standards of living, the Belarusian Statistics Committee informs.

In Q1 2015 available recourses per household were equal to Br 8.8 mln per month, and as compared to Q1 2014, they grew by Br 1.3 mln (by 17.2%).

The share of households with the average per capita resources lower than the minimum budget of subsistence (the national poverty line) as compared to the analogous period of 2014 has not changed and was equal to 3.5% in cities, 2.8% in urban-type settlements, and in villages – 5.5%.

As compared to Q1 2014, consumer expenditures per household have increased by Br 0.7 mln (by 12.4%) and in Q1 2015 were equal to 6.2 mln per month.

In the structure of consumer expenditures of households, the share of expenses for meals was 42.8% (in Q1 2014 – 42.1%), for buying non-food products – 32.2% (in Q1 2014 – 34.5%), payments for services – 22.6% (in Q1 2014 – 20.8%).
