One Of “Anti-Fascists Criminal Case” Defendants Released Under Non-Leave Obligation

However, the confinement conditions in the remand prison for the remaining arrested anti-fascists have been hardened.

Dzmitry Tsekhanovich, the defendant in the so-called “antifascists’ case”, has been released from the remand prison under a non-leave obligation, after 4 months of imprisonment.

This information has been provided by the social network community “Nasha Sprava”.

Three Minsk Antifa activists remain behind the bars at the moment – Illia Valavik, Vadzim Boyka and Philip Ivanou.

At the same time, it has been informed that the confinement conditions in the remand prison for the arrested anti-fascists were hardened.

“All four were summoned for the “prophylactic talk” to the head of the remand prison, and there they found out they had been on the record as extremists since that moment. And, literally within the next several days all four got warnings, one by one. Now, in case of another warning, each of the remaining arrestees will go to the punitive confinement.

The number of inspections in the cells grew, and constant scolds from the prison staff added up to the relentless oppression of prison life. It is worth mentioning that they are trying hard to isolate our friends from the outside world, by any means. Thus, the relatives of the prisoners informed us that our comrades do not receive most of the letters and postcards from freedom. Many letters get banned by the censorship department and they are forwarded back to the senders.

The pressure on the participants of the anti-fascist movement at freedom also continues. The Head Department on Fighting Organized Crime and Corruption continues its punitive activity. Every week we receive messages about the pressure from the side of investigators on anti-fascists and their families. It is also worth mentioning that the latest arrestee Philip Ivanou was first dismissed from his job (he worked as a surgeon) under the order of the Head Department on Fighting Organized Crime and Corruption, and then arrested at his new workplace. The working methods of this department of the Interior Ministry will soon become a legend, because they are clearly aiming at the laurels of the KGB of the Soviet period, " – “Nasha Sprava” community writes.
