Deputy Minister For Taxation And Revenue: “Social Parasites” Law Proves Helpful

According to the official, the people started holding on to their jobs more eagerly.

The Ministry on Taxation and Revenue has summed up preliminary results of the work of Decree #3 “On Prevention of Social Parasitism”. By now, the tax authorities have sent 50 thousand notifications, 11 thousand people have confirmed their relief for the payment of the tax, and 4 thousand people have already paid it, onliner,by writes.

— The primary goal of this decree was to stimulate the employable population to work, and to prevent social parasitism. Have we reached the goal? Probably we should refer to the statistics. In 2015, after adoption of the said decree, the number of people who registered as unemployed grew, — Deputy Minister for Taxation and Revenue Sviatlana Shauchenka said. — It grew by 1,5 times and made about 42 thousand people. The number of people pursuing the activity under an applicable principle (in such situation, no registration as an individual entrepreneur is required, the people can just notify the tax authorities and pay the single tax – edit.) also grew.

Also, according to the information provided by the Ministry of Taxation and Revenue, the number of people engaged in the activity in the sphere of agro-tourism and craft activity grew.

— I’d like to turn your attention to an important fact: the number of people hired by individual entrepreneurs grew by 22%, which is almost 8 thousand people. To a certain extent, we see that the population was stimulated to start labour activity,” — Sviatlana Shauchenka noted.

— We note the growing activity of the working population, employment, people began to hold on to their jobs, the staff turnover at certain plants decreased, — the Deputy Minister added.
