Slavic Brotherhood Military Exercises to Be Held in Belarus

Slavic Brotherhood 2017 with participation of Russian, Serbian and Belarusian military men will take place in June, 2017 in Belarus.

Brigadier General Oleg Belokonev, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, informed journalists on Thursday, Interfax-AVN informs.

International tactical exercises "Slavic Brotherhood-2016" take place on November 2-15 near Belgrade, the armed forces of Russia, Belarus and Serbia are involved. Official representatives from 30 countries watch the active phase of exercises.

"Next exercises are planned for June 2017. The direction of exercises has still not been specified, but it will also deal with anti-terrorist topic," Belokonev said.

He adds that such exercises allow working out a system of joint military management system, learning more about training methodology of partners, as well as learning new theatres of hostilities.

First "Slavic Brotherhood" exercises were held in 2015 at Raevsky training area near Novorossiysk. This year the training process organization is completely entrusted on Defence Ministry of Serbia.
