Baranavichy Activist: Country Won’t Stand Such State Of Affairs Much Longer
RYHOR HRYK

Lukashenka drove the regions to the point at which hunger rebellions may start.

Activist of the Trade Union of Radio-Electronic Industry Workers Ryhor Hryk has commented upon the information about the part-time working week at the automatic lines plant and the plant of machine tools fittings.

The workers of the Baranavichy automatic lines plant told that this year the enterprise “barely worked”. No more than 20% workers work at the plant every day, and the wages of many fell to Bn 150-200.

In autumn, the Baranavichy plant of machine tools fittings switched to the four-days working week again. Herein, the staff work 6-7 hours per day.

– It’s easy to understand what the situation in Baranavichy is by taking a look at stores and markets – they are empty, there are almost no customers. Sole traders paid the taxes and stand there alone behind the counters, – Ryhor Hryk has said to praca-by.info .

– Still, the workers do not speak up, they only express their outrage at home, drinking in the kitchen. What else should be noted is that the situation with employment and wages in Minsk remains much better than in the regions. The authorities there are trying to take care of the workers, which may be the reason why they have not awakened by now. However, if Minskers think that the situation which now faded over the region would not repeat in Minsk, they are wrong. The country won’t stand such state of affairs for much longer.
