The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance: Belarusians Cheat and Poison Russians

The head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (FSVPS or Rosselkhoznadzor) criticized Belarus.

The largest part of the interview of Sergey Dankvert, head of the FSVPS, was dedicated to our country.

- Belarus is our closest partner who actively wants to capitalise on the situation when the Russian market is closed for deliveries from the EU and Ukraine. And Belarus often cheats, an official says.

The situation with meat turned to be the first example:

- Every year the number of certified enterprises is increased. Our congratulations. But these small enterprises often sell us Ukrainian beef with cut seals. We do not need this. You'd better leave it for your own market.

The head of the FSVPS has allegedly missed the press-conference of Aliaksandr Lukashenka, who explained Russian journalists that Belarus had been producing shrimps since the Soviet times, Salidarnasts notes. Dankvert touched upon the issue once again:

- Some things have become appellative, for instance, supplies of shrimps from Belarus. This is the funniest moment. But Belarusians also supply a great amount of apples. Then we wonder: "How have you managed to grow so much?" They say: "We export them." But according to documents, you've grown them... A year later one can admit to re-export.

If to take everything at face value, it's time for the Dankvert's department to start "Rosselkhoznadzor Book of Records:"

- Deliveries of fruits and vegetables from Belarus have increased by 2,8 times over three years! Within 8 months in 2013 year 135.6 thousand tons were delivered, in January-August, 2016 - 441 thousand tons. Over two years, after introduction of embargo, there have been revealed 570 cases of deliveries with forged certificates.

The head of the department has brilliantly presented the scheme used by smugglers:

- There is no strict border between Russia and Belarus. As a result, Ukrainian, German, Polish production is presented as a Brazilian one, for example... This is a simple smuggling. Vans with "harmless chemistry", "building sealant" arrive from Hamburg. As soon as they are opened there is fat. It is clear that our colleagues in Europe have a liberal system - they drop into a customer, take a puff somewhere in Rotterdam or Amsterdam and dispatch a consignment.

Unlike one reference to Holland weed smokers, Belarusians were mentioned again and again:

- There are a lot of claims. For example, the same issue on supplies from Europe. It is not good to process Polish milk and then deliver it to Russia. We have analyzed the situation - they (Belarusians) imported 100 thousand tons of milk from Poland, and then automatically supplied Russia with it. So, our inspection activity on Belarusian enterprises has been reinforced... We have revoked 40 bills of entry, because they do not comply with fat and protein indicators. Our Belarusian colleagues fail to produce goods with normal protein concentration, perhaps, because of their greed. According to our study, more than 40% of milk samples proved presence of powder milk. Thus, it is restricted by the regulation of the Customs Union.

According to the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Belarusians not just cheat, but also poison poor Russians:

- It is hard to compete with the Belarusian production, it is cheaper including cases with goods delivered with forged documentation. Of course, liver and kidneys can operate for long, one may not think over it. After all, this is not arsenic.
