The musician is not allowed to perform on the stage in Belarus after the “presidential” elections of 2010.

Zmitser Vaitsiushkevich has been refused to hold a concert in Minsk again. On February 24, the musician and his fans were going to celebrate the 81th anniversary of the birth of the People's poet of Belarus Ryhor Baradulin. However, the organizers were denied, Euroradio reports.

“We filed an application two weeks ago. A week ago, we were told there was a chance, and we were asked to send the texts for proofreading. I sent them the texts of Mayakovsky and Baradulin,” – the musician says.

After reading the texts of Mayakovsky and Baradulin, the General Directorate of Ideological Work of Minsk Executive Committee sent a response.

“On the basis of paragraph 16 of Chapter 3 of the ”Regulations of the organization and carrying out entertainment activities,“ a license for holding an event-concert ”Zmitser Vaitsiushkevich “An Aristocrat of Love” has been denied,” – the letter, signed by Head of Department Pavel Skalaban, says.

It is interesting that the paragraph referred to by the official, is pretty large, so it’s not quite clear what exactly has become the cause of the failure – it could be pornography peddling or false information in documents.

Paragraph 16:

“The Management of Ideological Work decides to refuse to issue a license if:

the presence of elements of pornography, violence and cruelty in an event has been identified by the Republican (Regional) expert commission on prevention of pornography, violence and cruelty;

there is coincidence of time (terms) and the venue of an event with an event previously scheduled by another organizer;

there is false information in the documents presented by the event organizer or their discrepancy to the requirements of this Regulation;

there is violation of other requirements of this Regulation and other acts of legislation.”

It should be noted that Zmitser Vaitsiushkevich has not been allowed to perform on the stage after the “presidential” elections of 2010. The musician managed to play his only official concert in October 2014. After that, he has been refused to receive a license again.

“Every two or three months, we try to apply for a concert. Since the time of October concert, we have got about six refusals” – the musician sums up.

The next six months Vaitsiushkevich is going to spend in Warsaw: the singer has received a special scholarship and will study the Polish pop music theater in the framework of the Ministry of Culture of Poland.
