Russia has a right to reduce the volume of oil sales volume fivefold because of shortfall quantity of petrol.

BelaPAN was told about that by the press-service of the Russian Ministry of Energy.

The ministry noted that the Belarusian Ministry of Economy and Russia’s Ministry of Energy carry out quarterly reconciliation of fulfillment of the schedule of deliveries of motor petrol from Belarus to Russia.

This schedule is an appendix to the yearly indicative balance of motor petrol of the “union state” and makes basing upon the protocol between the governments of Belarus and Russia as of October 21, 2014 “On separate issues of application of international treaties on the procedure for payment and remittance of export customs duties (other equivalent duties, taxes and charges) when exporting crude oil and some categories of petroleum derivatives from the territory of Belarus outside the customs territory of the Customs Union."

“In case of motor petroleum shortfall for more than 10% of the volume envisaged by the schedule, in the planned quarter the Russian side has a right to decrease the volume of oil delivered to Belarus via pipelines, with application of the multiplying coefficient 5 to the estimated decreased volume of oilstock to the volume of the shortfall quantity of motor petrol,” – the answer of the ministry to the inquiry of BelaPAN reads.
