The human rights activist told EU officials, that the situation inside the country has not improved.

On February 3 the former political prisoner Ales Bialiatski told EU officials that the situation inside the country has not improved, despite the fact that the economic sanctions had been suspended after the release of the political prisoners in August last year, Radio Svaboda informs.

Bialiatski stated that the leader of Belarus Aliaksandr Lukashenka had not shown any confirmation that he is open to serious democratic reforms.
