The Russian ruler and the Belarusian dictator are to discuss “bilateral relations and integration issues.”

Today, on February 5, Aliaksandr Lukashenka is meeting Vladimir Putin in Sochi, the agency TASS reports referring to the press-secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov.

According to him, the sides are to discuss “bilateral relations and integration issues.”

We remind that on January 28, Lukashenka spoke with Putin by phone. The presidents agreed to meet in the near future.

On January 31 Lukashenka met with Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev in Sochi. As the press-service of Lukashenka reports, the meeting was held in an informal setting, “the parties have agreed that Belarus and Russia will work together to overcome the negative economic tendencies.” After the meeting, Lukashenka “has tested the ski trails and made up his mind to stay in Sochi for a short vacation.”

Last time Lukashenka met with Putin during his visit to Moscow on December 15, 2015. The visit was carried out at Putin’s behest.

According to an analyst of international affairs Andrei Fedorov, from the start Lukashenka counts on the talks with Putin to ask for money.

“The meeting with Medvedev was held in passing”, – the expert believes. According to him, the main theme of the talks for the Belarusian ruler is money, and for the President of the Russian Federation – the military air base and economic relationship with Ukraine.
