Negative Profit Of Problem Belarusian Enterprises Doubled Within Year

Net loss on problem organizations has grown by 1.7 times to Br19.1 billion.

In January-March 2016 the amount of net loss of unprofitable organizations of the Belarusian industry amounted to Br11.1 bln., which is twice more than in the same period of 2015, the National Statistical Committee reports. Net loss of loss-making companies has increased by 1.7 times to Br19.1 billion.

The number of unprofitable enterprises has increased from 503 in January-March 2015 to 580 in January-March this year. Their share in the total number of organizations has risen from 29.7% to 34.2%, BelaPAN writes.

Revenues from sales of products, goods, works and services industries in current prices amounted to Br218 trillion., or by 16.2% more than in January-March 2015.

Cost of products, goods, works and services grew by 18.8% and reached Br173.7 trillion.

Total industrial organizations’ net loss amounted to Br4.7 trillion. (last year net profit amounted to Br4.2 trillion.), operating profit decreased by 11.7% (to Br14.2 bln.).

Return on sales amounted to 6.5% against 8.6% last year, the profitability of sales – 8.2% versus 11%.
