KGB: Persons Involved In “Chyzh’s Case” Cooperate With Investigation

Several suspects in the case of the General Director of “Triple” Yury Chyzh have been varied the preventive measure.

Spokesman for the State Security Committee Dzmitry Pabiarzhyn confirmed this information to tut.by.

“Several persons involved in “Chyzh’s case” have been changed the measure of restraint. This happened due to their cooperation with the investigation,” – Pabiarzhyn said. He also added that “the necessary investigations are being carried out.”

Owner of the group of companies “Triple” Yury Chyzh was detained by law enforcement authorities on 11 March. Together with the businessman, 5 more people, suspected of evasion of taxes and duties on a large scale, were put in the KGB jail.

Last week, the newspaper Narodnaya Volia, citing to its sources reported, that some persons involved in “Chyzh’s case” have been changed the measure of restraint to house arrest. In the meantime, Yury Chyzh and his Deputy for Economic and Financial Affairs Edmund Tyshkievich are still in the KGB jail.

The newspaper also reports that Chyzh is kept in an ordinary ward. Ex-KGB officer Dzmitry Veratsenski, one of the core participants of the high-profile case of Kanstantsin Viliuha’s gang, which distributed spice, is his ward mate.

The lawyer and the family members do not reveal the details of the arrest and the criminal case. The relatives regularly bring care packages for Chyzh.
