Life In Belarus Proved To Be More Expensive Than In Poland And Russia

The situation is the worst with the prices in the restaurants, that are on average higher than in many European countries, and the housing rent.

A fresh Numbeo rating, which compares the cost of living between different countries, has been published.

The calculations have taken into account such indicators as the level of retail prices, the price of housing and the prices in restaurants.

Bermuda has been named as the most expensive country in the world to live – possibly because 80% of the required products are imported from abroad. Switzerland, for obvious reasons, is named as the most expensive country in Europe for life, Salidarnasts reports.

The least expensive countries to live are India, Moldova, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Georgia.

Strangely enough, but Belarus is in the middle of the list – to live here is cheaper than in Lithuania and Latvia, but more expensive than in Russia, Ukraine and even Poland, where the average salary has long exceeded one thousand dollars. The situation is worst with the prices in the restaurants, which are higher than in many European countries. The same situation is with the rental prices.

Let us remind that every second Belarusian lives on a salary of 3.4 million Belarusian rubles per month.
