The incident took place in Minsk gymnasium №1, where public discussion on a new shopping center construction was held.

On Thursday night policemen led by head of the Leninski district police department Maksim Sviryd did not allow independent journalists to video the public discussion and threatened to pull them out of the hall, baj.by reports.

The incident took place in the premises of Minsk Gymnasium №1, where the public discussion on the new shopping center construction in Malinin Street was held.

The police officers first copied independent journalists Yulia Labanava and Aliaksandr Liubenchuk’s passport details, and then banned the reporters from capturing the meeting on video. The policemen threatened that otherwise the journalists would be pulled out of the hall.

The correspondents regard this incident as a deliberate obstruction to their professional activities.
