Minsk Authorities Traded At Loss Of $ 325 Million

In Minsk the foreign trade negative balance amounted to $ 325.6 million in January-April 2016.

The foreign trade turnover of goods amounted to 5 billion 682.6 million dollars (15% less than in January-April of 2015) in January-April 2016. Export, compared with the corresponding four months of 2015, decreased by 19.7% (up to 2 billion 678.5 million dollars), import – by 10.3% (up to 3 billion 4.1 million dollars), BelaPAN reports with reference to the Minsk Central Statistical Office.

Export of goods to the EAEC countries decreased by 8.2% (to 701.6 million dollars) in January-April 2016. Import – by 13.1% (up to 1 billion 527.8 million dollars). The total trade with the EAEC countries decreased by 11.6% (up to 2 billion. 229.4 million dollars). The negative balance of trade in goods amounted to 826.2 million dollars. In January-April 2015 the negative balance with the EAEC countries amounted to 993.2 million dollars.

Export to Russia has decreased by 4.7% for the four months of the year and amounted to 671.9 million dollars. Import – by 13%, to 1 billion 521.8 million dollars. The balance, as well as in January-April 2015, was negative (849.9 million and 1 billion 43.5 million dollars, respectively). The total trade turnover with Russia is estimated at 2 billion 193.7 million dollars (10.6% less).

Export to EU countries decreased by 36.6% to 1 billion 191.8 million dollars, import – by 4.6% to 651.6 million dollars. The turnover decreased by 28.1% to 1 billion 843.4 million dollars.

The positive balance of trade in goods with EU countries in January-April 2016 amounted to 540.2 million dollars (in January-April of 2015 – 1 billion 196.9 million).
