Member of the Kalvaryiskaya district commission № 104 Rastsislau Kalinouski (a member of the Communist Party), together with his colleague for 15 minutes were keeping leader of the Young Christian Democrats and activist of the organizing committee to create Belarusian Christian Democracy party Maryna Khomich from collecting Minsk residents’ signatures in her support near the metro station Pushkinskaya.

According to them, someone has complained about the alleged distribution of campaign materials in Maryna Khomich’s support, although there was no evidence and no materials where Maryna Khomich was mentioned. However, within 15 minutes they were demanding her explanations, which made the collecting of signatures impossible. It is planned to file a complaint against the members of the district commission.

Alongside with that, Rastsislau Kalinouski’s colleague was insulting Maryna Khomich’s initiative group members, and people in civilian clothes were videotaping the picket impudently, thus putting psychological pressure on the IG members. “We can see that the “free elections” game has come to its end in Belarus. We can observe the situation of 2012, when the BCD speakers were not allowed to work in peace, when they were constantly captured on video, when the members of the district commissions put pressure on them and the initiative group members were insulted. No-one would refer to such elections as free and democratic ones, taking into account the pressure which is put on the speakers of the center-right forces,” – co-chairman of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democratic Party Vital Rymasheuski said to the website bchd.info.
