The rally in the center of Minsk has been held in a positive way and attracted attention of a huge number of capital dwellers.

“We just want to remind people that a very important decision was made on this day – the Declaration of Independence,” – Euroradio quotes Dashkevich.

He came to the rally together with his daughter Mara and a backpack full of flags – to distribute them to all who wish to participate in the rally.

The flag-bearers lined up at Independence Square, and 3-4 minutes later, police officers approached the participants and started making administrative violation reports.

“What else do they have to respond to? We know that LPR / DPR terrorists feel safe in Belarus – no one comes for them or breaks into their apartments. We can see people, who say that Belarus does not exist as an independent state, holding rallies. Breaking all the laws and violating the Constitution – no one comes to record their names! They are representatives of the pro-Russian fifth column, who have been doing everything possible for Belarus not to exist as an independent state for 22 years,” – Zmitser Dashkevich commented on the actions of the police.

Social activist Yauhen Afnahel also joined the rally. He jumped out of a bus at the bus stop and took the flag from the hands of Dashkevich. Journalists and a police officer, who was going to draw up a report, approached him simultaneously.

“I’m pleased to participate in this event! Well, and to remind the people what day is today, – Afnahel told the reporters. – Although most of the people remember that. When I was traveling on the bus, people saw the flags and remembered that today is Independence Day.”

Youth activist Pavel Vinahradau also considers the rally to be sought for and successful.

“I thought there would be five people, and there are as many as 16 here! So, it is a success. I have already written that the people, who are ready “to war” at 8:30 am are the most dangerous people in this country.”

The rally went on for about 50 minutes. Policemen drew up reports against all the participants, but no one was arrested.
