Yarmoshyna: Belarusians Are More Into Pokemons Than Into “Elections”

The CEC head is upset that nobody is following her “pre-election speeches.”

Those people, who are fond of virtual games and pay more attention to them than to the election campaign, are still immature and want to go into the “virtual unreality.”

This way the CEC head Lidziya Yarmoshyna comments on the opinion that the Pokemon GO game attracts more interest than the parliamentary campaign.

– Let's not say that each vegetable has its own time. People of my generation hear about Pokemon as something exotic, even not knowing what it is. Therefore, they are naturally more interested in the “elections,” – Yarmoshyna said at a press conference in Minsk on July 29, tut.by reports.

According to the CEC head, “all of these games” are meant for immature people.

– They have not played enough. It is their drift into the virtual “unreality.” With regard to voters’ interest, it would be an overshoot to say that they are watching in unison my campaign speeches.

Previously, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus has given Pokemon GO players a “helpful advice”. According to Ihar Shunevich, the youth should not forget about personal safety in the real world while being into virtual games.
