“Sovetskaya Byelorussia” Goes To Graveyard: Thousands Newspapers Tossed Away At Minsk Exit

On August 15, automobilists watched an unusual view at the exit of Minsk: thousands of newspapers carpeted the driveway in the direction of Barauliany.

The wind and the air flow from the cars, which were driving by, spread the newspapers over quite a large area. The newspapers were mostly the issues of the “Sovetskaya Byelorussia”, but other periodicals happened to be there, too, if one took a closer look, writes abw.by.

Aliaksandr Aliashkevich published the photo on the internet. He also wrote that “the traffic police arrived in some 20 minutes. They were standing there thinking whom to call to clean all this away. I guess they called the road maintenance service in the end.”

The users are trying to guess whether it was the postman who went off his rocker, or the “stability” falling apart.

Besides, the author of the photo presumes the packages with newspapers and magazines fell out of the MAZ vehicle which was driving by. The press was scattered all over the road till the petrol station “A-100” in Baravaya.
